Although many of us grew up in areas that were overwhelmingly Jewish, times have changed and more and more Jews are choosing to move to areas that have low Jewish populations. This challenge poses new questions to many parents: How do you make a Jewish connection for your kids when a lot of the people you know are not Jewish? How can we connect our children to the wider Jewish community?
This is where the new Downtown Baltimore JCC initiative (DBJCC) can help you find Jewish connections all over town. Meet us at the Jewish Museum of Maryland for a Friday morning of Shabbat fun and rituals at Tot Shabbat. Come together with other downtown Jews to have a Shabbat meal through our Got Shabbat program. You can also wander into one of the Pratt Libraries for storytime and find a Hands on Holidays program taking place!
As the fall Jewish holidays get closer, think about joining us for one of our many programs around town and tell your friends about us! Together, we can help build a strong and vibrant Jewish community in Baltimore city.
This season, the DBJCC will be offering Hands on Holiday programs, Chai-O-Ween and Tot Shabbats.
